Atlantic Ozone can perform kinetics studies using our mobile test unit. These studies are designed to determine the chemical reaction kinetics between ozone and any contaminant of interest present in a water or gaseous stream. These tests generate data necessary to to design a larger, permanantly installed, ozone system for contaminant removal. These tests offer an inexpensive way to verify ozone's applicability to a particular problem before authorizing a pilot plant or full scale treatment plant, thus saving time and money.

In addition, these studies can evaluate any one or several potential enhancements to an ozone system intended to increase the reaction rate of ozone and the species of interest. Atlantic Ozone Corporation has several technologies for increasing reaction rates between ozone and various contaminants. A partial listing of some contaminants that can be successfully removed using ozone with one or more of AOC's process enhancements include:

  • Cyclic ring compounds (benzene, xylene, toluene, etc)
  • halogenated solvents (Tetrachloroethylene, dichloroethane, etc)
  • mercaptans (and hydrogen sulfide)
  • metals (Fe, Al, Zn, Ni, Cu, Cd)
  • Total Organic Carbon (not otherwise specified, removal efficiencies down to < 1 ppb)
  • Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD)

Please contact Atlantic Ozone Corporation to discuss your particular situation.
